Wanting to swim

Sunday is swimming day!

Getting the things together, and BabyCyclops put on his armbands and collected his squirty toy and made it clear it was time to go.

It wasn't.

And the armbands and squirty toy are not needed for swimming class.

Anyhow, when the time came cyclops said to BabyCyclops "if you want to go swimming you'll have to take your armbands off and put your coat on."  Much to our surprise he did just that.

He is really coming on with his comprehension and complex instructions now.

For example, if you give him his nativity book and say "where is the baby?" he will flick through and then point the baby out correctly.

Back to today. Cyclops was ill in bed so we had no car, and BabyCyclops seems to be moving his nap later to clash with swimming, so the arrangements were complex.  So MrsCyclops and BabyCyclops went to Jenn's Den for a bit then walked along to swimming. By this time BabyCyclops was pretty tired and cried for some of swimming class (first time) then we walked home in the rain. Urgh. We try (and almost always succeed) to stop BabyCyclops getting overtired. But things evolve, you've got to try stuff.

Later we went to a soft play called Time Twisters. Much more successful. Loads of sliding, plus much excitement in the sports area when MrsCyclops lifted up BabyCyclops to put the basketball through the hoop.
