Bumps

Bumps in the road only tease the one who lives to fly smooth currents of invisible air.  This branched cactus is spare of spines but flush with uniform, little-fingertip-sized bumps.  And like many cacti, it teases with something that looks nice to touch--that rubbery-looking skin, in this case, but on another, fur or silky spines--but you know touching it will invariably bring pain, somehow.
