Longstone Edge - rock roses

The steep south facing slopes of the limestone edge were carpeted with bright yellow rock roses, the first time I have ever seen these flowers in such profusion. A lovely sight on a dull day (not as wet as threatened). The Latin name is the unwieldy and eye straining Helianthemum nummularium.
