Almscliff

I got on with jobs today but kept a close eye on the weather for a patch of hopefully dry weather.  I found it at just gone three.  I consider myself to be a positive person but the waterlogged fields and moors did my head in today.  It took me until 4.45pm to start singing.

The road to nowhere.

I made a point of remembering what I sang today.  The track high up often makes me sing this tune, perhaps because it disappears off the edge of the moors.

It was a good feeling to see this sunshine in the distance even if it wasn’t on us.  It was even better to get back at 5.25pm with light still in the sky.
