Onslaught

I went down to the Bay to catch high tide at 10.30 this morning. It didn't disappoint.

I do get a bit carried away with the waves and come away with a bucketful of photos which I then whittle down. But still making final choices is sometimes so bloody agonising.

Two of these are taken standing on the old pill-box at the end of the beach. I find turning down the highlights helps to bring some definition to the different masses of the exploding waves.

I do like the big thumpers but the raking effect of the waves along the beach is also pretty good. So I've put some extras too (of which I am using my ration too rapidly).

I added two more extras. I like the vanishing lines in both.
