Petrohue Falls, Chile ...

A very grey, misty, drizzly day in Puerto Montt, Chile.  We drove to the nearby town of Puerto Varas, at the foot of Osorno Volcano and Calbuco Volcano (which erupted just last year!).  They tell us that Osorno is snow capped, but we couldn't see the top today because of low cloud cover.  These thundering waters are known as Petrohue Falls, and they run down from the volcanos and the other mountains nearby.  The colour of the water is spectacularly blue.

We are now in the lake district of Chile, and soon we will be heading towards the famous fjords.  I really hope the weather improves before we get there!

The captain has just made an announcement that our departure this evening is delayed because yet another passenger needs to be medically disembarked ... oh dear!
