We Are Just Good Friends....

Inspite of the brassed off look on Morris the Maine Coon's face he and Maisie are very good friends. They frequently play together and are great fun to watch. I have even caught Maisie with one of Morris's front paws in her mouth having a quiet suck on it. Morris smells unattractively of puppy spit. It must take him hours of washing his coat to smell pristine once more.
It was 35C on our verandah today....and that was in the shade. It was very hot for a shaggy little dog. We have made an appointment with a dog groomer to have Maisie clipped next weekend. I have asked the groomer to keep Maisie's coat clippings for us. I hope to find a friendly person to spin the wool. Then we will be able to have a little hat knitted with it. Well.....it's an idea anyway.
