This is our Chambers Twentieth Century Dictionary, first publish 1901, although our one is much more up to date having been published in 1948. We bought it, secondhand, to help,with the Guardian cryptic crossword, probably in the 1970s.

I used the macro lens for more practice. Pleased to meet two challenges - tiny Tuesday and The Dickens challenge as this was prompted by the quote from Hard Times "Now, what I want is facts."
