Journal52 above my head : below my feet

Week 6- Above my head - this is a little cafe where I went when the Iceland volcano cancelled our travel! I loved the Art Nouveau stained glass and light fittings. Below my feet- On our trip three years ago to Barcelona I was amazed that right below our feet were hexagonal paving stones designed by the great Art Nouveau designer Antoni Gaudi.
I made a stencil of one of the hexagons and used acrylic paint to stipple through and hey presto! it became the repeat pattern! The shoes are from a recent trip to Asheville TN - They were fun to paint and they fitted in with the Art Nouveau theme!
