A Gardener's Cottage -

After months of pop up restaurants and cooking in many different places, Ed and Dale have opened the Gardener's Cottage just off the London Road, Edinburgh.

It's an immediately comforting sort of place. You feel that the head gardener has just popped out to pick some herbs and will be back for his tea soon. The food is honest, simple and tasty and inexpensive. Dining will be communal at long wooden tables, with the kitchen open to view. Definitely one to watch.

The building itself is B listed and was designed by Playfair.
