Durham and all points north

A night on a put-me-up in DS#1 and Charlotte A's flat and off we head again. Eight hours worth to catch the UIg ferry.
The Forth Bridge remains an impressive edifice but otherwise after leaving the splendours of Durham Cathedral early in the morning, most of the scenery was natural rather than man made.
Waiting for the ferry, this heron was fishing on the shore.
Back into the house by 9pm before an early start tomorrow as both of us are teaching.
