Backblip: Herbs and spices can perk up a dish

We've finished the "free" bottle of gin that came in the wine club's Xmas offering. 

It was OK. Not sure I get the whole thing of gin-tasting and all those "botanicals" and "aromatics" - all that I can ever taste is the tonic water. (though I do enjoy a slice of lime in my G&T.)

I do like the bottle and label very much.  I may keep it and fill it with something interesting - some garlic or herb oil, perhaps. I seem to be in a culinary phase, when all be said and done (and had 5 litres of Extra Virgin delivered this week!)

Yesterday's backblip  was balanced diet day
