A year's worth of learning

So, it's the last lesson for this class today.

How much knowledge have they gained?

What skills have they developed?

How have we done in creating that sense of awe?

I will offer them their books to take home, much as I used to collect mine when I was young.

You'd be surprised at the response.

I suppose it's not what's in their books, it's what's in their heads that really counts.

It's quite easy to start doubting yourself as a teacher.

Probably because there is no perfect way, you can't 'work your magic' on every pupil and a million other reasons.

That's what makes it exciting, I think.
