A sunny but sad day

Today I drove down to the Kilcreggan peninsula for the funeral of my friend Jamie Taggart. Jamie disappeared on a lone plant-hunting trip to Vietnam in October 2013, but his body wasn't found until 17th December last. The service was at Rosneath and the interment in the beautifully situated Barbour cemetery at Cove, on the hillside above the loch and just a few miles from his home at the Linn Gardens, Cove. A large number of people turned out out to bid him farewell - he was only 42.

This picture is at the deep water terminal at Finnart, on Loch Long, between Arrochar and Garelochhead.
