Chestnut Backed Thrush

A visit to Edinburgh Zoo 'Brilliant Birds' made my day! As well as this beautiful thrush from around Indonesia we saw a Socorro Dove(extra) which is native of Socorro Island off the coast of Mexico but is now extinct in the wild. Work is being carried out at the zoo hoping that they may be reintroduced to the island.
