Did You Know?

 Who knew there were so many kinds of lichen---and do you know what lichen actually is? I didn't, until I went looking to identify this type for you and I was amazed! Lichen is actually a fungus and an algae in a symbiotic relationship according to my reading and is definitely not a parasite like mistletoe is. There are hundreds of different lichens and I'm just not sure which one this is, but I think it is beautiful and fascinating!
