A Chilly Start

to the day...
Later it got milder. I made a booking at a favourite wine bar of ours in Holt as there was a gypsy jazz guitar duet playing. We decided to cycle there and back, a distance of seven or eight miles each way I would guess through the quiet lanes of north Norfolk. Unfortunately the food was less than excellent. Fortunately the red wine and the music were very good. And this time we both remembered to drink a fair amount of water in between times, which is definitely worth doing if you don't enjoy hangovers...
It is not every night you get to cycle through woodland and fields in the dark when every sensible person has settled in for the evening and drawn the curtains and it is all the more special for that, pedalling silently through little villages after closing time...
