Cloud cuckoo land

I bricked my laptop today. Not bricked exactly but it wont boot past Linux grub rescue so can't start windows. I've decided that Linux is just too esoteric for me. I can't make sense of the stupid nomenclature. Event daemon; superuser; bridge window; mount - ffs just use normal English Linux people! Once I get into windows its coming right off my HD!
