Southern Discoveries Bridge

Because it was so windy in Wanaka, we headed over the Crown Range to Arrowtown, where we had a nice walk down the Arrow River.  No wind there.  Our lunch spot was under some poplar trees, and we headed back to our cars walking up the opposite side of the river.  It was so hot, that 3 of our ladies had a dip in the river, clothes and all.  No one else in the group of 20 was keen to have a go!!

We all had a nice ice cream and headed back over the hill to Wanaka.  Another super walk, with great company.  This photo is of some of the group walking over the Southern Discoveries Bridge.

The extra is a lupin that I spotted by the Arrow River.  There aren't many about now.
