Svelte Jay

I cannot recall ever seeing a Blue Jay this slim.  He was also remarkably quiet.  Unusual.

My journey this past weekend to see my friends was rich with bird sightings.  However, when you are travelling along at 100+ kph on the highway (motorway) and it is illegal to pull over unless it is an emergency, it was a little frustrating!  I saw, a Snowy Owl, two Kestrels, a Bald Eagle, and so many hawks that I lost count....and some Snow Buntings.  I began to feel that they were taunting me....  ; )
