The Track was Mostly Frozen

4.9C bright and sunny. Light Northerly breeze.

Maeve and I went for a walk after lunch. Capercaillie on the Nano (The Blood is Strong and Delirium). We went up to the church, and as we were going up the road to the church I could see a digger in the field where I had seen the tractor get stuck last week. Digging out a drain below the point where the tractor was stuck.. We continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. No sign of the farmer today. The track was mostly frozen but muddy in places.

We walked along the cycle path towards Westhaven. I could see a truck in the field near the digger. That usually means they are putting in hardcore or some sort of drainage material rather than just taking out a trench for the drain.

We carried on along the shore road and went over the road bridge over the railway and down to the beach at Westhaven. The tide had just started to come in. We crossed back over the road bridge and carried on round in a loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.

When we got home I went out into the back garden. The first real gardening job of the year was to clear one of the paths which had become mossy. Maeve stayed indoors.
