back at swim

I reach out and spread my arms and pull the weight of the water aside and move forwards. At this time of the afternoon, at this time of the year the sun shines right through a porthole window to the pool. It is like swimming in liquid light at times. Thoughts come of course, but I stroke them away one by one behind me where my legs kick up a wake. I am moving again. At last, I've entered my element. Onwards.
