Whernside in the snow

Here we are in Yorkshire.  We have had an amazing walk up Whrenside ( one of the three peaks in Yorkshire) from Ribblehead viaduct.  It was 8 miles of glorious sunshine.  The first up hill was hard but it soon leveled out. Mr PB kept telling me it  would be artic conditions at the summit,  but it was so still,  quite unbelievable.  It's 736 metres and the summit was covered  in snow. We had a quick photo at the trig point then headed down.  We had amazing views of Ribblehead viaduct,  even saw a train go over.

Brilliant walk, sore feet, but no blisters in my new boots (not the ones previously Blipped - took them back as they killed my feet, now on their way to a Sherpa in Nepal).  See extras for pucture.

We had a quick cuppa in Ingleton,  some shopping done then on to our hotel. We are just back from a delicious meal and pint. It was great to see a village pub so busy,  it was dominoes night! Now bed and ready for tandem shopping tomorrow
