Mostly dead tree

We took time driving up the A90 today and stopped off at Edzell Castle. An impressive place but the garden although small is quite exquisite. What took my eye, though, was this almost dead tree just outside the grounds. The ruined castle has red stone walls and beautifully manicured lawns and hedges but it was the starkness of the tree that I liked.
