Inside Paul's Head

Paul Smith exhibition at The Lighthouse in Glasgow, well worth a visit. Loved this particular installation of digital images with a soundtrack of Paul Smith discussing his childhood, and in particular his love of photography which he learned from his father, who had a darkroom at home. He keeps a photo diary which sounds very like the premise of Blip, and the images he documents are often the inspiration for his prints. He was one of the first designers in the 1980s to use photographic prints in his textiles.
The mock up of his designer studio space is wonderful too, as is the beautifully tactile wall of buttons. If you are in Glasgow take a look while you can.
