Rosa Canina (Dog Rose)

There are so many lovely wild flowers in bloom at this time but one of my favourites has to be the Dog Rose.

This morning the weather forecast suggested that we would have rain. Well we got a few spits and spots but then it dried up and we have enjoyed another warm sunny afternoon.

I know many UK inhabitants wish for a few dry days let alone some sunshine but to be honest we could do with some of the rain to make the grass grow. It is very poor at the moment with sheep unable to eat the lush grass that is usually available at this time.
