Parents at the Centre for Learning

13th February 2016:

While the girls are having classes the parents have come to a meeting with Rose. It was dry and held outside. Most of our meetings everywhere are held outside.
The big discussions at the moment are about end of first term results and how they might be improved for our 81 learners, as they are called.
Results in English and Mathematics were worst so we have located and employed the best teachers of those subjects we could find from the schools around, and employed then for saturday mornings.
As usual  we will assess progress and se what more we need to do.
We head out on Sunday next, for a month,  to take a look

Biggest crisis at the moment is hunger due to lack of maize.
Sadly the problem will get much worse before it gets better as the rains were almost two months late this year and consequently the maize crop will be late as well.
There is no prospect of this food situation improving in the near term.
Unused brain power, bad advice form the external experts and throw in a bit of corruption as well = Starvation
