Survivor

This gum tree is an amazing survivor in the Belair Park. After suffering catastrophic bush fire damage, this tree is continuing onwards and upwards, showing lots of new growth. However its structure must have been seriously weakened and it could be at risk during a time of storms or very high winds. I will be keeping an eye on it. 
My guess is that this damage occurred over 10 years ago.
