Calfclose Bay

Although it was the first day of our PhotoShop workshop, the weather forecast showed it as the best day of the week. So after a morning session dealing with the necessary, but tedious settings, pallets, preferences, tools colour space etc, we spent a few hours in the afternoon walking around the shore of Derwentwater. We started at Great Wood car park, and frankly, didn't get very far. A couple of my guests were keen on trying out long exposures using their big stopper filters (10 stop NDs) and with average exposure times of 2 minutes, progress was slow!

These stones were engraved in 1995 to commemmorate the centenery of the National Trust.

Beautiful day though, which felt quite warm in the sun, yet bitterly cold in the shade
