Watching over Sheffield

This is a snap from the roof garden at Weston Park Hospital just as we were leaving after a longer than expected stay. The photo doesn't do justice to the view even by night.

I was put in mind of a sentinel or shepherd keeping watch over the city keeping its people safe.

Thank God for the NHS and all its people.

A Prayer for Carers, Nurses and Doctors:

Jesus, who healed the sick and gave them new life,
be with doctors, nurses and carers, as they act as agents of your healing touch.
In desperate times, keep them strong yet loving;
and when their work is done,
be with them in their weariness and in their tears. Amen.
