Hopeton01 - Whispering Grass

Who Passes There..?
This walkway with a side-slope, yards from the back of the house, is used by all sorts of folks doing all sorts of things: dog-walking, health-walking, personal-training, jogging, the school-run, shopping, scooting, sledding, cycling, segway-ing, skateboarding, etc. No doubt the conversations had amid these trees & grassy slopes can be just as diverse . . .

While poised with my camera, a dog-walker stopped and commented on the scene before us; before long, we got talking and found we had a number of similarities in common: escape from the corporate crush of London, a legal background, working from home, passion for photography. She was taking her regular midday dog-walk as a break from the intensity of her consulting work. "Getting out of the house", she said, "keeps my sanity."  I would have said the same! A number of our perspectives were surprisingly similar; even our respective life-partners work in similar fields.

Give me the whispering grass over the corporate crush of the city, any time :-)
