A walk in the park

After  a dismal, wet day yesterday it was lovely to have one of those cold, crisp and sunny days today. Anyway, winter is nearly over, and I personally regard the first of March as the first day of spring - in the northern hemisphere. I read recently on an iPad weather app that March, April and May are indeed regarded as the spring months by the meteorological community, but that the Astronomical beginning of spring was (is) 21st March - i.e. the spring solstice. "Down Under", of course, spring starts in September - also often a pleasant month here in the north, but with the 'threat' of winter getting ever closer.  Anyway, be that as it may, it was pleasing to see those harbingers of spring in the park today, as seen in the photo.
