Last One Standing

I was up and out for a run before the sun got going this morning.
Wigsey Lane crosses Warburton Meadows and only a few years ago was a delightful tree lined byway that dates back to medieval times, a delight to wander down and a wild life haven.
Most of the trees and hedge rows have been grubbed out by the landowners to increase crop yields. 
So what happened to land stewardship.
