The most expensive exhibit in Cardiff Museum

A piece of Lunar Rock!  It can't be insured for it would cost the equivalent of sending another manned rocket to the Moon.  This was brought back by the manned American Apollo space mission of July 1969.  All the rocks collected were dated between 4400 and 2900 million years and all were once molten.  Took my bike on the train to Cardiff and rode up the Taff river trail for miles and miles and came back the other side via the Celtic ruins and 'new'  1107 Llandaff Cathedral to join the U3A geology  group on a guided tour round the exhibition in the museum. In the extras a precursor of the herring family and some ammonites
