A Day Off the Hill!

Well it was certainly an interesting day!   We headed out early so i could go to Glace Bay, about 1 1/4 hours away.....to apply for my first Canadian Passport!   When we were interviewed by the lovely woman working there, turns out i didn't read the very long instruction carefully enough!!!   Their place was only a Service office...not an actual passport office!   long story short...either i drive to Halifax, (4 hours away) or i wing it with my present British passport...when we head to Cuba in 5 weeks.   More investigations  will happen on monday!!!

Then we did our usual shopping thing....Value Village, food shopping and one of the main events, getting the replacement pieces for the wood stove!   All went relatively smoothly.   Then i tried to take a photo...thinking "Blip".....nadda....camera not working....almost freak out....remember that the fabulous camera store in Sydney was just around the corner!!!   So we headed there and the lovely man who owns this well established business had a look!   After much consultation...and me on the verge of buying a new camera - he managed to figure out that the battery was just flat!!!!   This is a shot he made with my camera, without a lens on - seems fitting somehow that this be my blip today!   I was so traumatized that i might be without a camera that i was ready and willing to part with $400 right there an then!!

Back home...and Terry decided to treat us to something very decadent....fresh lobster!!!   OMG...it was sooo expensive, but we justified it by telling ourselves we'd had a long day!!!   So, off to have a delicious supper!
