Flower Power

With Valentine’s Day only a few days past, it is inevitable that there should be ample choice of luscious flowers in the shops throughout the week.
Because while the accent on roses, tulips and even bouquets  of brilliant miniature red chrysanthemums was geared to last weekend for the day of romance itself, there’s no denying that the beauty and appeal of flowers is everlasting.
Yes, I did buy flowers last weekend, and also yesterday. But this display in my local supermarket today made me realise that whatever the season there is always a bloom to fit the occasion.

Or as it happens, there doesn’t have to be an occasion at all. In my experience flowers are welcome as a gift or surprise at anytime.
