...........Stage

This is a room directly behind the stage where a hands-on lighting system was in place for the public to ‘play’ and create various colour themes surrounded by ‘smoke’. This view lacks people, but it was a very popular room.

Today we took advantage of the open day at the Theatre Royal in Nelson, NZ. It is the oldest wooden theatre still in use in the Southern Hemisphere.

It’s a beautiful old building, built in 1878 from native timber and was in use until 2005. Following major rebuilding and restoration work it was reopened six years ago with modern technology and back in constant use once again. See here for more information

It was a wonderful surprise when I arrived home this evening to see yesterday’s Monarch Butterfly sitting high on the front of the popular pages. They are magnificent and I’m so pleased you think so too.
I really appreciate the many comments, stars and hearts. Thank you very much.
