An Artist's Life

Blodgett Canyon

The face of the ridge that looks east across the valley has very little snow; however the snowpack just behind it is close to normal. Snowstorms usually dump their load in the vast Bitterroot Wilderness before getting to the valley...which accounts for our mild winters. If you lived in eastern Montana, across the Continental Divide, you'd think our worst winters are tropical. I like it here better....!
