The Lozarithm Lens

Calne (Friday 19th February 2016)

It was rather late in the day when I decided to leave the cottage on foot in search of a blip and not only was the light going but it had clouded over and was starting to rain. I was looking for signs of Spring, and possibly a flower for Flower Friday.  I quickly found some daffodils, but some had been out around here since before Christmas, so didn't really count. Besides, there isn't really a shortage of pictures of daffs on Blip. There were a few buds appearing on some twigs but they wouldn't make for a blip either.

I wandered over onto a patch of amenity land on the other side of the A4. Someone had been pruning trees and there was a pile of slim logs on the ground. There's nothing especially springlike about ivy, but I was taken with the way they seem always to weave around tree trunks so attractively.
