Smoke Signals

Two puffs or three are all it takes to communicate either good news or impending doom across vast stretches.  These agave leaf impressions are as unique as the individual leaves that made them.  And not only are the details different from one to the next, but also some intertwine, like DNA squished flat, while others taper to a pointed end.  Some make their way across the leaf's back, while others ripple straight up its center.  But whatever their form, I find them beautiful and strangely enticing.
