Hoose on the Hill

Waterfall on the Nant Gwynllyn stream

A bit of wind at home, but at 400m the wind was very strong. I had to shelter behind a large rock to get this picture.

The extra of Caban Coch dam shows the effect of the strongest wind I have experienced in the Elan Valley.

The detail is of the water bouncing of the projecting stones in the front of the dam. The stones were used in the building of the dams to support a timber structure with a railway track on top to deliver the stone as the dam was built up.
