The Reception

The day started off bright and freezing again.  We finally managed to be awake at the right time to have breakfast at the hotel.  Afterwards we took a walk along the Leeds Liverpool Canal, there was a layer of ice on the surface of the water.  We stood and watched a very pretty narrow boat go through the lock near the hotel.  I also stopped to ask a fisherman what he was hoping for, he said a pike.

Then it was time to get ready for wedding activities.  Hubby went to pick up his mother then we all regrouped and got a cab to the town hall.  It was a very nice ceremony, the youngest sisters of bride and groom read some fun poems.  The groom was very nervous and emotional, his voice shaking, it was very sweet.

The reception was held in an old pub on the canal, open to the wedding party only.  The venue was full of character and it was a lively evening!
