Voyage of a Beagle & Lab

Sunshine

We had booked our slot to see the pandas at Edinburgh Zoo so no matter the weather we were going to the zoo - and in honour of our visit to Sweetie and Sunshine (this is Sunshine) the sun shone, well not exactly shone but it has stayed dry all day and there were moments when you could have been forgiven for actual believing that it was summer. We had an excellent trip - the pandas were well worth a visit, and having booked a time to visit we waited less than 10 minutes to get in, got to spend 20 minutes with the bears, learnt lots about them and got loads of great photos. It was a day for the bears - the koalas were awake, I don't think I've ever seen them awake before and it usually looks as though 2 cuddly toys have been left up the tree! Today both bears were awake although still not very active, a head swivel was about as active as they got. Never mind, the sun bear more than made up for it, treating us to a wonderful display as it played with a kong.
A highlight of the day for me was seeing Josh - who isn't always the bravest - get himself harnessed up and complete a high ropes course. He was fantastic and although I could tell he was scared, went round the course brilliantly. Of course, scared of nothing Ky did some extra bits but also looked after her brother. When he came down the smile stayed on his face for ages he was so proud of himself. Obviously unsure if he was terrified or petrified he kept telling us he had been tetrified!

I've just back blipped a few snaps from hols which include my 300th blip so I would just like to once again say a huge thank you to everyone who stops by for a wee look and to everyone involved with Blip, THANK YOU <3 XX
