Birthday Walk

Reconnoitred a circular walk from Doe Park Reservoir - seen here - passed through Denholme Clough - climbed to Thornton Moor - seen in the distance - before descending through Denholme Edge - in the company of five other people - two of them men

The walk description promised a wealth of features in unlikely environs - these included - an initial section described as moist - would personally have used the word bog - stepping stones over Denholme Beck - extensive views - alpacas and sheep - stiles in the form of turnstiles - leading to old driveway which brought us to an isolated "mansion house" - complete with outbuildings
