Ancestors

My great grandparents, Charles and Emily Purse on my mother's side. They lived in Liverpool, and had 9 children, 7 of who survived. Charles, born in 1867, was a pattern maker working in the shipping industry. I believe he may have worked on the Lusitania. Although retired, he was called back to the docks at the start of World War 2. My mum lived with them from the age of 2 and probably ran them ragged! She adored her Grandfather, who in his spare time painted in oils, and had a picture exhibited in the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. Mum I think inherited her creativity from him, and was a talented painter too. I've now inherited their pictures and am having fun trying to find places for them all!
