The Escapee..

When I was up the river last year I came upon a stand of poppies that had escaped from someones garden. This large backwater seems to capture all sorts of flotsum .When I first saw these flowers there were a veriety of colours, I decided to go back when the flowers had passed to collect some of the heads, when the seeds were dry I planted them in the spring, they grew very well and the flowers have just recently started to appear and they are all this shade of red..
