And the sun shone

What  a beautiful misty start to a perfect day!

Back still painful but improving and much better.  N and I went to meet A and J at Dinnington Docks for lunch.

Back home, strolled down to the farmyard to look at the new calves and their mums who were lazing peacefully in the sunshine.  Even the newest arrival had recovered after a slow start.  The little one would not suck so T had to tube feed it several times and then we put the  cow in the crush and put the calf to her udder with no success.  A different story today, she was sucking when I arrived and then started bucking around the box full of the joys of spring with mother patiently looking on.  Five more calvings to go out of this batch.
