The Manx Arms - School Brow - Warrington

Originally, in the 19th Century School Brow was a heavily populated area of dilapidated terraced housing deemed fit only for working class factory slaves.
Most of the manufacturing industry has gone, along with the poor housing, and the area redeveloped, partially, but with few prospects for any who would remain.
This last social reminder has fallen in to dereliction, no doubt soon to be demolished and removing any evidence that may affect one's social conscience.
I wonder what the beer was like when this Pub was fully patronised,
I can imagine that you would have to be pretty tough to survive a night on the tiles in those days
