Plus ça change...

Baaaa

Today's trip to Toulouse certainly went better than our last family trip there, which it will not surprise regular readers, was thwarted by car problems.  Today went without a hitch.

First, the Roman Museum, which was full of treasures, and also had a special half term archeology dig for kids, which went down very well with our two (even if TallGirl did shame the family by forgetting the word Amphora.  Sheesh.)  This sheep gargoyle was outside, and caught our eye.

Next, a walk to the Japanese Garden for lunch where, despite the place being full of French picnickers, we were told to leave if we wanted to eat.  I can only suppose all the French folk ignored the jobsworth who came around shouting at us all.  (I wouldn't mind, but I had - obviously - scoured the rules and regulations on the way in and the only things banned were wheels, alcohol and ballgames.)

Later, a short drive to the Asiatic museum for lots of Cambodian, Nepalese, Indian, Japanese and (?) Egyptian artifacts.

And now, after a relaxing sojourn on the terrace, pizza and a movie.  Half-term rocks.

(What doesn't rock is the evil pixie who came and sprinkled germs and pain in my throat, nose and ears overnight.  I'm ignoring the fact that I'm proper ill just at the moment, and hoping that it gets bored and goes away.)
