Changed Days

For over a hundred-years this was the site of the parish mill.

Drying grain, grinding grain, making oatmeal and latterly cleaning and dressing seed grain.

Now all gone, as are the men who knew the mill and had the skills and the brawn to turn rough crops into useable grains for animal and human consumption.

Once the centre of the local farming community where people would meet to work, exchange news, views, poor prices, horses and ... inevitably the weather.
